System upgrades
We offer a range of system upgrade packages to expand the capability of your existing PeriFlux 6000 or PeriCam PSI instrument, including software upgrades, additional probes, and new functionality.
PeriFlux 6000
System upgrades
Possible system upgrades:
- An 8-channel PeriFlux 6000 Combined System can be upgraded to a 16-channel instrument to support additional TcpO2 electrodes and multilevel simultaneous measurement or reduce the time to complete segmental pressure exams.
- A PeriFlux 6000 pressure instrument can be upgraded with TcpO2 to a combined 8/16-channel pressure and TcpO2 instrument.
- A PeriFlux 6000 TcpO2 instrument can be upgraded with pressure measurements to a combined 8/16-channel TcpO2 and pressure instrument.
- A PeriFlux 6000 TcpO2 Standalone can be upgraded to an 8/16-channel TcpO2 on-cart system to support additional TcpO2 electrodes and multilevel simultaneous measurement. Improves ease of use through the intuitive system interface and supports connectivity via DICOM/HL7.
Upgrades include installation, relevant software and examination plans, and all the necessary hardware additions to your existing instrument, such as probes, electrodes, parts, and accessories.
PeriFlux 6000 examination plans
To expand the capabilities of your PeriFlux 6000, it is possible to add additional standard exams and order customized examination plans. If you need a plan that is not included in our portfolio contact your local sales office.
The standard set of exams for our combined system includes:
- Ankle-brachial index (ABI) and toe-brachial index (TBI).
- Pulse volume recording (PVR) on ankles.
- Skin perfusion pressure (SPP)*.
- Transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcpO2).
*requires SPP probe.
You can customize your examination plan with, for example:
- Treadmill testing (exercise ABI).
- Finger pressure.
- Segmental pressure.
- Penile pressure.
- Laser Doppler with heat.
- Post-occlusive reactive hyperemia (PORH)
- Cold immersion test.
- Thoracic outlet syndrome.
Options
We offer a range of options to extend the capabilities of your PeriFlux 6000 combined or pressure system.
Skin perfusion pressure (SPP) kit
With our SPP kit, you can extend the capabilities of your PeriFlux 6000 combined or pressure system to include SPP measurements. The kit includes the necessary examination plan and cuffs.
Segmental pressure kit
With this kit, you can extend the capabilities of your PeriFlux 6000 combined or pressure system to include segmental pressure measurements. The kit includes everything you need including the examination plan and pressure cuffs.
Finger pressure kit
With this kit, you can extend the capabilities of your PeriFlux 6000 combined or pressure system to include finger pressure measurements. The kit includes the examination plan and finger cuffs.
Treadmill (exercise ABI) kit
With this kit, you can extend the capabilities of your PeriFlux 6000 combined or pressure system to include treadmill, or exercise ABI measurements. The kit includes the examination plan for measuring on two sites.
Remote panels for hyperbaric oxygen chambers
Designed for use with PeriFlux 6000 Combined and PeriFlux 6000 TcpO2, our remote panels sit inside any multiplace hyperbaric oxygen chamber, allowing you to monitor patients during treatment.
PeriFlux 6000 DICOM and HL7 upgrades
Our DICOM package supports Modality Worklist (MWL) — an essential feature for efficient clinical workflows, automated data entry, and seamless integration with RIS and PACS.
Our HL7 integration package converts the internal PeriFlux 6000 data structure into HL7 messages that can be interpreted by another system.
PeriCam PSI
Software packages for PeriCam PSI**
Clinical package
The clinical package for PeriCam PSI introduces features for creating and managing patient data. To safeguard patient data from unauthorized access, this package also includes data security features — user login, encryption, and audit log.
Clinical connectivity package
The clinical connectivity package for PeriCam PSI includes all the features of the clinical package together with features for communicating with a hospital information system via DICOM.

Zoom functionality***
You can upgrade your PeriCam PSI with zoom to unlock the camera optics, combining the best of PeriCam PSI NR and HR. With adjustable zoom you get both measurement versatility and applicability to a wide range of tissue types from small vessels in a mouse brain to large areas such as a human foot. Use the same instrument for a range of preclinical and clinical applications such as wound assessment, diabetic foot ulcers, or other conditions where localized perfusion is a key marker.

LASCA and LSCI
Laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) is the innovative technology behind PeriCam PSI, offering non-contact, high-resolution perfusion imaging. The technique was first described by J.D. Briers and S. Webster in 1996 and referred to as laser speckle contrast analysis (LASCA). In later years, the term LSCI gained in popularity and is nowadays the more common term. However, LSCI and LASCA both refer to the same technique, providing precise and reliable perfusion data without the need for contrast agents.
